PERSONALITY

self-absorbed life has been easy for victoire, whose natural charm has drawn cooing affection essentially since she was born. people often act like she's the most important person in the room, so why would she believe otherwise? her narcissism is mostly harmless; she's not hateful or malicious, but there are probably those who consider her a little toxic. it's hard for her to truly consider others' point-of-view. everything is filtered through the lens of her own experience. for example, although some might call her generous to a fault, she rarely stops to think about what the gift recipient would want and tends to 'spoil' her friends with whatever she thinks is cool/hot/best. now in her late 20s, she's still somehow oblivious to why this is frustrating.

wild at her best, victoire is the natural centre of any party. she's always been intoxicated by attention; in her teen years, this was supplemented by actual, well, intoxicants. at hogwarts, she had a reputation for throwing the kind of over-the-top teen parties that only happen in the movies — sneaking out, drinking, skinny dipping, etc. most of the time, she thinks it's terribly unfair and hypocritical that this has stuck with her into adulthood, although on some late nights, she's forced to admit that it's not entirely unfounded. things have gotten a little messy on occasion, but thankfully, no one seems to remember that, least of all, vic herself.

FLIGHTY what is vic good at? ah, well. that's the question for the ages. things capture and lose her attention like fireworks — beautiful and sparkling for a moment, then gone forever. she's been offered a number of lucrative and promising jobs over the years. usually, she accepts them with the best of intentions, works very hard for two weeks, and then just... forgets, or loses interest, or gets distracted by something altogether more lovely. there's no malice in it. her romantic liaisons tend to go similarly. there's a part of victoire that genuinely yearns for something grounding; in her heart-of-hearts, she's envious of those with clear paths. nothing has seemed to materialise, though, and it appears no one has ever told her that these things rarely just happen; they take work.

charming this is becoming increasingly debatable as she ages.

loyal victoire is a genuinely loving and caring person. once someone has entered her inner circle, she's on their side for life. yes, she can get into record-setting spats with her best friends and family, but at the end of the day, she's with them and those around her know that, regardless of circumstance, she'll have their back against any given assailant.

HISTORY

Notable Family Members:
parents: bill & fleur;
sibs: dominique & louis;
cousins: too many to count

History:
born a lovely little child in a lovely little house to a lovely little (/rather large) family. precocious & terrible toddler. honestly rather sweet in primary school. not the best big sister, but not the worst either; careless, enthusiastic, aggressively loving. she accidentally battered poor dom during playtime on more than one (or two or three) occasion(s). it was never on purpose, though.

louis came a bit later and he's darling, of course. like a wee doll & this time, she's old enough to appreciate it. he's precious & fragile & he got all the attention which she absolutely hated, but somehow, she knew she couldn't get mad at him for it. actually, she doted on him too and when he grew up and got stronger, there was a part of her that wondered if she helped fix him up.

soon, she's off to school & sorted. speaking of: gryffindor was a good fit. so good, people usually forgot she was practically a hatstall (03:55.) to say she had adventures is probably an understatement. there was a while there where she seriously thought she'd be banned from hogsmede. things certainly weren't hard, but (& people always forget this) they weren't exactly easy, either. classes were fine; both her siblings did better, to no one's surprise, but everyone knows that academics aren't the point of hogwarts. she was there to make friends, which, to be fair, she did easily; too bad drama tended to follow her around.

attention = good. insecurity = bad. self-reflection = worst. also, the thing about drama is that it begets itself. she got very good at throwing parties that your character was certainly invited to. almost without exception, they were too fun. she broke up with teddy at no less than four of them her 7th year (but snogged him at the rest, so it all came out in the wash.)

she got a job right after graduation. left it to travel (you're only young once!). got another job the day she got back. left it to take a third job (much more glamorous), but got fired from that one and okay, that hurt a bit. etc, etc. most positions last a few months. sometimes weeks. actually, she was at her last job for almost a year, but that's over now. would you believe the daily prophet offered her a position? writing an advice column, no less?

really no surprise that forsythe reached out. (btw, she heard anybody who is anybody was invited to henhurst. or something.) life is candy and the sun's a ball of butter. please ignore the half-dozen things that seem to be going wrong recently. (her parents are fighting. sometimes, she thinks her siblings hate her. money is actually getting rather tight.) it'll work itself out; it always has before.
